Amazon launches all-new 3rd Gen Amazon Fire TV Stick and Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite, two new variants of best-selling streaming devices. The new Fire TV Stick runs on all new redesigned user interface of Amazon’s Fire TV OS and 50 % more powerful than the previous-gen for fast streaming in Full HD. The new Fire TV Stick go on sale in India on October 15, 2020, and are already available for pre-orders on Amozon.com.

Amazon’s new Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) runs on all new redesigned user interface of Amazon’s Fire TV which is 50 % more powerful than the previous-gen for fast streaming in Full HD. It includes Alexa Voice-controlled Remote can control Fire TV Stick and certain functions such as power and volume on a wide range of compatible IR-enabled devices, including TVs, soundbars, and A/V receivers.
The key difference from 2nd Gen Fire TV that it comes with a 1.7GHz quad-core processor that is 50 percent more powerful than the previous generation and offers 8GB of internal storage.
It supports up to full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) streaming resolution with the support of HDR, HDR10+, HLG, and it will be interesting see how the new Amazon’s Fire Stick supports HDR which requires 4K hardware.
It also offers Home theater-like sound with Dolby Atmos support – Feel scenes come to life with immersive Dolby Atmos audio.

The second device Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite Priced at Rs. 2,999 and it is available on Amazon.in from October 15, 2020. it looks identical to the Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) and has similar specifications and features. The key difference from five TV (3rd Gen) is that it supports the lite version of Alexa voice remote and it does not offer Dolby Atmos supports. Fire TV lite support up to full-HD streaming resolution at 60fps, software-level HDR support, 8GB internal storage, and the redesigned user interface with access to Alexa and other new features.
All new Amozon’s Fire TV stick comes with Dual-band, dual-antenna wifi (MIMO) for faster streaming and fewer dropped connections than standard wifi. Supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wifi networks and Bluetooth 5.0 and Bluetooth Low Energy. Pair with compatible Bluetooth speakers, headphones, video game controllers, and more.
