Recently Reliance Jio has also announced that it will not charge 6 paisa for voice calls on other networks from January 1, 2021. They finally removed Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC), and offer free voice on all networks which means that Jio users now won’t need to worry about IUC minutes. Last year in late October, Jio introduced the IUC charge of 6 paisa/minute for voice calls on other networks.
This development comes after the abolish of Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) charges for domestic voice calls by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). This is really very positive news for BSNL customers as now they need not worry about FUP usage limits. This will be implemented latest by 10th January 2021 in all the telecom circles of BSNL and all other terms and conditions will remain the same.
Removal of Voice FUP usage limit will be applicable to both existing as well as new mobile customers of BSNL across all telecom circles.
