Xiaomi Redmi 9A ‘Desh ka smartphone’ is finally launched in India today after global debut back in June. The phone is powered by Mediatek Helio G25 octa-core SoC, a massive 5000mAH battery, and starting with the price at Rs 6799. The Redmi 9A has a single front & Rear AI camera and offered in three color options.

The Redmi 9A has an LCD Dot Drop 6.53-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset with 3 GB Ram and 32 GB storage. The phone has hyperEngine game technology that offers more fluids and responsive gaming experience with a reliable connection and true-to-life visuals
The phone comes with MIUI 12 out of the box which is based on Android 10.
The Redmi 9A has a single 13-megapixel AI camera with f/2.2 aperture at the back, and a 5-megapixel AI front camera with f/2.2 aperture, housed inside a waterdrop notch.
The phone comes in two variants- 2GB+32GB which is expandable upto 128GB via micro SD card slot, and 3GB+32GB expandable upto 512GB. The company says that the phone packs Reading Mode 2.0 and Dark Mode. The Redmi 9A lacks a fingerprint scanner, but you do get the option of software-based Face Unlock.
Connectivity options include VoWi-Fi, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , dual-SIM (Nano) support, and P2i Nano coating to protect your smartphone against everyday water splashes & spill.
Lastly, The Redmi 9A has a massive 5,000mAh battery, which lasts three years without losing capacity, Thanks to this Enhanced Lifespan Battery (ELB) technology. There’s a 10W charger inside the retail box, surprisingly Xiaomi moved back to the Micro USB port from the Type-C port which is used on other devices launched in 2019.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A has launched in two variants- 2GB+32GB priced at Rs 6,799 and 3GB+32GB priced at Rs 7,499. The first sale of the handset will take place on September 4, at 12 PM on mi.com, Amazon India, and Mi Home stores. The Redmi 9A has also come in three color options- Sea Blue, Nature Green, and Gray. The Redmi Earphones have also been launched in the country at Rs 399.
