BSNL discount for Government Employees increased to 10% from 5% on Landline & Broadband rental charges.

BSNL discount for Government Employees increased to 10% and customers may avail a 10 percent discount on the rental charges in all telecom circles. BSNL has decided to increase the discount from the existing 5 percent to 10 percent for Government or PSU Employees on Landline, ADSL Broadband & Bharat fiber (FTTH) Services.

BSNL first time introduces the discount for government employees in 2008 and offers a 20 percent discount, later it revised in 2013 and reduced the discount from 20 percent to 10 percent. In 2015 BSNL again revised this and reduced it to 5 percent from 10 percent.

Now after 5 years of long gap, BSNL again decided to increase the discount for government employees from 5 percent to10 percent. This discount is applicable for serving as well as for retired central government/State Government/ PSUs Employees. This will definitely help to increase their customer base and to arrest disconnection of landline and broadband connection.

How to avail BSNL discount for Government Employees scheme

The BSNL discount for government Employees will effective from 1^st Feb 2021 on all circles of BSNL and the Government Employees may avail of this benefit by submitting the Discount form (Click here to download) or by submitting an application in the plain paper well in Advance along with Employment Certificate at your nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC). The retired employees required to submit an attested copy of their pension book along with a discount Form at your nearest BSNL Customer Service Center (BSNL CSC).

This revised BSNL discount for Government Employees is applicable to both new as well as existing customers of Landline, ADSL Broadband & Bharat fiber (FTTH) Services and gets a 10 percent discount on the rental charge from 1st February 2021 onwards on a PAN India basis.

It is to be noted that, this revised BSNL discount for Government Employees scheme will be applicable only for those customers who have submitted their request with relevant supporting documents as stated above.
